Emotions Lite comes with an option to wrap all content and widgets in a block (box). These blocks have a padding (inner spacing) and a background colour (light grey) to help them stand out from the content area background colour, which is white by default. Enabling the content blocks feature will affect the blog as well as pages. Here is an example showing the very suttle difference with the blog:
Because this theme also offers custom widget styles, you will want to be careful as the content block style may not work well with the custom widget styles, although you can try it out and see the results. One example is the “search” widget that you see in the screenshots above, where this widget is using a custom widget style of “search” to give it that colour and style. But you can see that enabling the content blocks does not affect the search widget.
