Front Page Template Introduction

This is a brief introduction to the Receptive Front Page template which contains a LOT of options to give you a variety of layouts. I’ve broken this tutorial down into several separate sub-tutorials, each starting with “FP” as a prefix title to each one.

Front Page Demo

The demo site uses the front page template, and gives you a better idea of what it can do, although I am not using all of the options, you still can see most of them in use. Here is an overall screenshot of the front page:

One Page Website - Scroll

I know there is a trend of having a one-page website where everything is located on the front page. This theme can do this, in particular when using the front page template. You can see how this works, including having the parallax effect. Us the “Home” submenu links to navigate the front page:

This template includes the following:

  • Header Image functionality
  • Banner sidebar
  • Top 1, 2, 3, and 4 sidebar group
  • Content Top 1, 2, 3, and 4 sidebar group
  • Content Bottom 1, 2, 3, and 4 sidebar group
  • Bottom 1, 2, 3, and 4 sidebar group
  • Footer sidebar
  • 3 Content Areas - Loads content from 3 separate pages per area
  • An Icon Box group containing up to 4 icon box columns
  • A Blog section that loads up to 4 “latest” blog post summaries
  • A Portfolio Gallery section that loads up to 8 thumbnails
  • The ability to create a one-page website with each section containing content and pages
  • Includes sections with a Parallax effect of a background image scrolling behind sections

NOTE Please be aware that this is a special template and its purpose is designed specifically for a front page. Elements such as the icon boxes, blog, and portfolio are not available on inner pages.
