Customize your page background

When we say “page background“, we are referring to the overall page, not the content area. For example, here is a screenshot where the page background is using a photo and the page width is using a boxed setting of 1600px.

Note The screenshot shows the background of the pro version which is available for Emotions Lite as well:

Depending on the boxed size you are using, or length of page content, your page background may not show. For example, if your boxed size is full width, then only short pages will show part of the background, but if your page content is very long, then you won’t see the background.

Image Background

  1. Go to Appearance >> Background
  2. Look for the “Background Image” setting and click on the “Select Image” button to browse for the photo you want

  3. Continue with the settings to manage how this image will be customized
  4. Click “Save & Publish

Colour Background

If you do not want a photo or graphic background, you can opt in for a solid background colour instead.

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Body Background Image
  2. Look for the “Background Colour” setting and use the selector to make your custom choice
    background colour setting
  3. Click “Save & Publish
